Republican Fall Campaign DinnerThe Annual Fall Campaign Dinner of the Coaldale Republican Party will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4:30 p.m. at the Viennese Villa, 6th and Ruddle streets, Coaldale. Guest speakers for the banquet will be attorney Christine Holman, candidate for district attorney of Schuylkill County and Patrick Reynolds, candidate for sheriff of Schuylkill County. Reservations for the dinner must be made by Oct. 28 by contacting town chairman, Bob Ames.Summit HillFood pantryThe Summit Hill Food Pantry will be open on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to noon. The food pantry is located in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets. There is to be no parking in the alley prior to 9:45 a.m. and absolutely no parking in the vacant lot. Recipients are reminded to bring along extra strong shopping/tote bags.LansfordSt. John LutheranTonight at 7 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship. This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief, musical, evening prayer. Children 10 years old or younger residing in Nesquehoning are encouraged to attend.Sign-ups are Wednesday evenings between 5-10 p.m. during bingo.
