Schuylkill crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on three crashes probed by troopers, occurring on Friday, Oct. 4.

Troopers said a crash occurred at the intersection of SR183 and the entrance road to the Cressona Mall in North Manheim Township. Brian Tesno, 60, of Ashland, was traveling eastbound on 183 in a 1994 Nissan Sentra when Kyle B. Greene, 28, of Pottsville, attempted to cross 183 from the mall parking lot in a 2009 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck.The front of the Sentra hit the passenger side of the truck. Tesno was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment. Green was not injured. Troopers cited Greene for a stop sign violation.A crash occurred about 5:46 p.m. along SR61 at the intersection with Mount Carbon Arch Road, in North Manheim Township.Troopers said Christopher R. McQuillen, 42, of Pottsville, was northbound and slowing down for a traffic light while Randy L. Kahle, 22, of Ringtown, was behind McQuillen and did not see him slowing. The front of Kahle's 2011 Hyundai Ascent hit the rear of McQuillen's 1999 Dodge Dakota truck.No one was injured. Troopers cited Kahle for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.The third crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. along SR4011 (Molleystown Road) at the Interstate 81 overpass, in Tremont Township.Troopers said Devon Kemper, of Selinsgrove, was westbound driving a Dodge pickup truck on Molleystown Road while Paul Swartz Jr., operating a tractor-trailer truck, was eastbound. Troopers said Kemper crossed the double yellow line into the eastbound lane. Swartz attempted to avoid a collision and went onto the shoulder.The two vehicles collided head-on under the overpass in the eastbound lane. After impact the pickup truck spun 180-degrees and came to rest on the road.Kemper and his passenger, a 7-year-old male, were injured and taken to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Swartz was not injured.
