Yudichak plays in benefit softball game in Harrisburg

On Monday, state Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne/Carbon/Monroe) and more than 50 other legislators from across Pennsylvania participated in the first ever Capitol All-Stars Softball Game Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg.

The East vs. West softball game, which will benefit Feeding Pennsylvania and Hunger-Free Pennsylvania, started at 5:30 p.m. and aired live on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN)."It's always fun to get back out on the baseball diamond and it is even better when we are able to go to bat for Pennsylvanians in need," Yudichak said. "Our food banks and food pantries across the Commonwealth do great things in our communities and this game will help raise awareness and much-needed funds as we fight to end hunger in Pennsylvania."Feeding Pennsylvania and Hunger-Free Pennsylvania are dedicated to relieving hunger for the more than two million Pennsylvanians in need through their statewide network of affiliated food banks, food pantries, and other hunger relief organizations.Proceeds generated through sponsorships, donations at the gate and a raffle of items donated by many of the state's professional and college sports teams will all benefit programs to end hunger in Pennsylvania.
