A Tamaqua driver was cited following a two vehicle crash that occurred about 11:36 p.m. on Sept. 21 along SR209 in East Norwegian Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Anthony J. D'Alonzo, 45, of Tamaqua, was negotiating a right curve while northbound while Violet M. Harvey, 66, of Pottsville, was southbound.D'Alonzo's 2006 Ford Taurus entered the southbound lane and struck the front left portion of Harvey's 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, with its front end. After impact the Ford spun counter-clockwise and came to rest in the northbound lane. The Chrysler spun counter-clockwise and overturned onto its roof off the right side of the southbound lane.Harvey and her passenger, Thomas Jefferson, 62, of Pottsville, were injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville. D'Alonzo was not injured.Troopers cited D'Alonzo for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
