The officers of the student council for the 1971-72 school term at Lehighton Area High School were installed Wednesday and new members to the council were elected during a program held in the high school auditorium.

Danny Kunkle was installed as president of the organization. Other officers include Thomas Meier, vice president; Craig Koons, secretary; and Anne Merluzzi, treasurer.It was made known to the student body that the school will hold it's first home homecoming event on Nov. 5. A homecoming queen will be selected by choice of the student body, and the queen will be crowned during the halftime activities of the Catasauqua football game.
