September 27, 1957 Bobby Earley scores a pair of touchdowns and Lansford's defense shuts down the running game in posting a 20-0 upset win over Schuylkill Haven. Earley opens the scoring when he breaks free for a 68-yard TD run. He also picks up a pair of first downs on another drive to set up Joe Krawlick's one-yard scoring plunge. The Panthers, coached by Dick Forster, limit Haven to just 28 yards on the ground. On special teams, Lansford's Bob Brennan blocks a punt out of the end zone for a safety.
