State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 8:54 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, where state routes 183, 895, and 443 intersect, in Wayne Township.

Troopers said Earle E. Otto, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, was stopped for a stop sign on 895 facing 443 east, while Ben M. Reed, 55, of Auburn, was southbound on 183. Otto pulled into the intersection and into the path of Reed. Reed's 2005 Mercury Montego struck the driver's side of Otto's 1990 International truck with its front end.Reed was injured and taken to the Reading Hospital for treatment. Damages were disabling to both vehicles.Troopers cited Otto for failure to obey traffic control devices.
