September 25, 1970 Wayne Kapish runs for one touchdown and throws for two others to help lead Marian to a 19-8 win over Pleasant Valley. Kapish caps a 78-yard drive on the Colts' first possession of the game with a four-yard scoring run. He later hits Joe Marouchoc with a pair of TD passes. A 40-yard scoring strike gives Marian, coached by Joe Leonzi, the lead while a 14-yarder adds some insurance. The Bears' only score comes on a 26-yard pass from Scott Gordon to Faron Frey.
