A new consolidated school for Summit Hill is proposed. The present high and grade school was built in 1874 and is reported unsafe. The junior high was built in 1927 and houses grades one to eight.

It is proposed to erect a building costing $150,000, 55 percent of which would be furnished by the state and 45 percent by the federal government.The new building would be leased to the borough for approximately $3,000 per year for 30 years when it would be turned over to the school district.
