Carbon County prospective jurors were introduced to a new jury selection process on Monday, and it has caused longer service time.

Mandated by the higher state courts, jurors must now answer a questionnaire given to them when they are called for service. After they complete the questionnaire, it is returned to the jury commissioners' office and copies are given to attorneys participating in the case for review.What used to be completed in a day, now forces the process into another day for prospective jurors.
