The Carbon County Labor Chapter will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday Sept. 16.

The meeting will take place at the Democratic Information Center at 110 S. 1st St. in Lehighton (across from the senior high-rise in downtown Lehighton).The program will focus on three issues:• The recent nationwide protests by "fast food workers" who are pressing for a living wage of $15 per hour.• The Chapter will discuss a recent effort to unionize workers.• The Chapter's project to help food banks within the county.For more information about the Chapter, call President Terry Whiteman at 610-379-0162.
