Walker Township police and firefighters responded to the 1,000 block of Valley Road late Friday afternoon for a report of a two-vehicle collision. Todd Woodward, township's officer-in-charge, said that Amber Mummert, 27, of Tamaqua, driving a white Nissan Sentra, was traveling west on Valley Road when she, for unknown reason, drove on the wrong side of the road and impacted the driver side of a red Ford Ranger pickup truck, driven eastbound by Robert Rita Sr., 71, of Coaldale. Woodward said Mummert faces multiple charges, to include driving under suspended license. No serious injuries were reported.
