Area residents are arraigned on criminal counts

Numerous area residents were among 69 who were arraigned Monday morning at the Schuylkill County Courthouse on criminal charges and all entered pleas of not guilty and requested a jury trial. They were;

Gemile B. Mehmeti, 25, of 409 E. Ridge St., Coaldale, charged by Rush Township Patrolman James Patterson, with theft of a coffee machine valued at $119 from Wal-Mart Store in Hometown last Sept. 22.Jamie L. Bauder, 30. of 128 W. Hazard St. School Apt. 206, Summit Hill, charged by West Penn Township Chief Brian Johnson, with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, five counts of simple assault, two counts of attempted to commit simple assault with a deadly weapon, four counts each of recklessly endangering another person and harassment.Information filed to court claims last June 7 Bauder attempted to strike several people with his vehicle on Winter Mountain Road following a domestic dispute.Brian Keith Woods, 48, of 259 W. Rowe St., formerly of 18 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Joseph Krebs, with making threats and improper influence in official matters, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness, and scattering rubbish (small whiskey bottle) in the parking lot of Family Dollar Store last May 4.Stephen Tyler Welsh, 23, of 124 E. Fell St., formerly of 120 E. Holland St., Summit Hill, charged by Rush Sgt. Duane Frederick, with retail theft of television set valued at $278 from Wal-Mart Store in Hometown last May 13.Levi G. Warren, 30, of 616 Old Route 209, Tamaqua R.D., charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Rodgers, with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, two counts of being involved in an accident causing damage to a parked vehicle on West Broad Street last Feb. 23, and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic.Christopher C.
