'Economic potential' of heritage corridor is topic of program

Business owners in search of ways to maximize the economic potential of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor could be in luck.

A presentation that will offer tips to "Learn How You Can Maximize the Economic Potential of the Trail" will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Slatington Trailhead Pavilion in Slatington.Registration is at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch and the program from noon to 1 p.m.Sponsored by the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, the event will include a presentation from Elissa M. Garofalo, president/executive director of the D&L National Heritage Corridor.Garofalo's presentation will focus on ways to discover the D&L, and share strategies with businesses to grow through trail amenities.The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce's mission is to serve as the voice for business by continuously improving the economic climate and creating growth opportunities for the Greater Lehigh Valley region.They accomplish this through business-to-business networking events and marketing products, affinity programs and exclusive, money-saving member benefits, training programs, government affairs initiatives and public policy advocacy, and community development enterprises.With nearly 5,000 members who employ more than 200,000 individuals, The Chamber is the largest in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and in the Top 10 nationwide.
