An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be held in Tamaqua on Friday, Sept. 20, at St. John United Church of Christ on Pine Street. Hours will be from 1-6 p.m.Anyone 17 or older, who weighs at least 110 pounds, and is in good general health is eligible to donate.For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call 1-800-733-2767.Garden walkThe Schuylkill Penn State Master Gardeners will sponsor a "Walk in the Garden" program at the Master Gardener Trial and Demonstration Garden on Route 61 in Schuylkill Haven. The event will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Sept. 7.The walk will include an introduction to the 16 varieties of coral bells (Heuchera) that have been planted, as well as a stroll around the newly-constructed rain garden.Cameras are permitted and gardening questions will be answered.This event is free and open to the public.
