First Congregational ChurchMorning Worship will be held at First Congregational Church at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, followed by Adult Sunday School at 10 a.m.The church's Women's Class will hold its first meeting of the 2013-2014 year at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the church social hall. The theme of this meeting is Keeping a Childlike Innocence. All area women are invited to attend the meetings.The nursing home ministry team will visit St. Luke's-Miners, Coaldale, at 11 a.m. and MapleShade, Nesquehoning, at 1:30 p.m., both on Wednesday, Sept. 4.Choir rehearsal is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4.
