Fashion show at Mrs. Bush's

Many of the residents of Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Homes in Kunkletown remember the days of watching the fashion shows and eating a delicious slice of strawberry pie at Hess's Department Store on Hamilton Street in Allentown.Those days are gone. But Carrie Shafer, Mrs. Bush's activity director, says they wanted to give the residents a glimpse of current fashions and another taste of strawberry pie so they're holding their first fashion show sponsored by Peebles on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. at Mrs. Bush's Chestnut View home.Everyone is welcome. There is no charge.Sunday SchoolSunday School at St. Matthew's UCC is scheduled to begin on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. with a Rally Day event. If you have children or grandchildren who are potty trained and up to junior high age, St. Matthew's would love to welcome them to attend.
