State police in Lehighton are investigating the theft of 70 Ambien pills.

Police said that Katelyn Marie Fichter, 25, of Walnutport, said she took the pills from the home of Roseann Marie Heydt of Palmerton. Police said Fichter took the prescription bottle of pills from the victim's residence while visiting the victim. The incident took place between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Aug. 18.
