A Monroe County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state Liquor Control Board.

Barley Creek Associates, LP, trading as Barley Creek Brewing Company, Box 185, Sullivan Trail and Camelback roads, in Tannersville, Pocono Township, was cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor. The alleged violation occurred on July 18.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of license based on the severity of the charge brought.
