August 26, 1959 Joe Kokinda fires a three-hit shutout to lead Summit Hill to a 5-0 win over Coaldale in the Panther Valley Little League tournament. Kokinda walks five in the contest, strikes out 10 and aids his own cause with a solo homer. Don Miller also goes deep for the winners, while Joe Kosalko collects two hits. John Watto, Dave Rex and Walt Kruczek each chip in with a hit and run scored.
