A Northumberland County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 2:45 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, along SR209, three-tenths of a mile west of Middleport, in Blythe Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Jennifer S. Aston, 41, of Coal Township, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound when the car left the road on the right side for unknown reasons. The car then struck and got hung up on a tree stump.Aston was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville, for treatment of injuries. Damages were termed minor to the car.Kaska Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.
