Decisions, decisions

My head is spinning.

I am at the computer yet again as I am presently in the market for a new PC, (and possibly a lap top too), a new refrigerator, a new and more advanced camera and volleyball shoes for my daughter. You would think this would be a simple process; you go to the store, you look around, you pick one out, buy it, and drive home.It is not. With my hectic schedule, I typically try to purchase things on line, or to at least research them ahead of time before going to the store.Again, this should be a relatively simple process, but instead, it is maddening. Before I even deal with seeking out the best price, I must first look at the all of the various brands and as we all know, there are many for any given item. When looking at each brand, I begin to review all of the various models and within each model, all of the different options.Once I have it narrowed down to a couple different models for each brand, (days, weeks or months later), I then start researching reviews which ultimately becomes the breaking point for me (long before bargain hunting for the best price).I cannot understand how 100 people can say a product is the worst piece of garbage ever invented while another 100 swear that they can't imagine how they ever made it this far in life without it.Then, of course there are other reviews that fall somewhere in between. There are also multiple websites in which you can research reviews which makes these purchasing ventures even more mind boggling and time consuming.Did I ever mention that I am quite certain that I have adult ADD?Add THAT to the party and you can imagine what it is like to be in the room with me when I need to buy something. Now that the spinning has eased up a bit, I have finally made the decision to put everything else on the back burner and to focus, I mean FOCUS solely on the volleyball shoes because after all, the season started last week.Right off the bat, I find that there are roughly seven popular brand name makers of volleyball shoes. That's not too bad right?Wrong! There are too many different models, styles and colors along with too many conflicting reviews and I am now wondering why the school doesn't just pick out shoes as part of their uniform so I do not have to lose yet another portion of my sanity just trying to pick out a decent pair of shoes which, by the way, she will probably HATE anyway and refuse to wear because I am the one who picked them out while she was at practice so that we could get them here as quickly as possible.((Inhales deeply))I think it is great that we live in a country where we have so many choices but at the same time, I find all of these choices to be overwhelming.I mean, it is hard enough for me to decide what to wear to work in the morning and even harder to figure out what to make for dinner each night. All of this other stuff just sucks the life out of me.Three. The most I think I can handle are three choices. Three, well-researched and well-reviewed choices on anything and everything.Anything beyond that is just too much and makes me want to slump down to the floor and curl up into the fetal position. As for my daughter's volleyball shoes: eenie, meenie, miney, mo.
