All are welcome to enjoy a free meal and fellowship.Miller-Keystone Blood DriveMiller-Keystone Blood Center will hold its next bimonthly community blood drive on Monday, Aug. 26, from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ, next to Palmerton Borough Hall.To encourage donations at a time of year when blood supplies are running low, Miller-Keystone is offering drawings for two iPads for high school and college students, and two $100 gas cards a week and one $500 Visa card for adults. This visit is in memory of Jean Behler, a longtime volunteer, and is sponsored by the Kern and Hoffman families.High school students and faculty who donate at this drive will still be eligible to donate in November when Miller-Keystone conducts a drive at the high school. Students do not need parental permission to donate at community drives.Anyone in general good health, at least 17 years old and weighing at least 110 pounds, is eligible. There is no maximum age limit. First-time donors should bring photo ID, such as a driver's license.
