A Tamaqua man was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison this past weekend after violating his parole while in Rush Township.

Township police found Joseph J. Forster II, 35, passed out behind the wheel of a running motor vehicle, which was in the Hometown Commons Walmart parking lot. The incident was reported at 4:14 p.m. Friday.Forster will be charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of a controlled substance, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to St. Luke's Miners Hospital, Coaldale, for blood tests, then to the county prison in Pottsville.
