Schuylkill crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 5:25 p.m. on Aug. 7 along Spruce Drive, Pine Grove Township. Troopers said a 17-year-old male from Pine Grove was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound and negotiating a right curve when he lost control. The vehicle began to swerve in the road, went onto the berm and struck an embankment. After impact the Tahoe spun counter-clockwise and rolled over onto the driver's side. It came to rest facing southwest blocking both travel lanes.The teen was injured but did not require immediate medical attention. He was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.Troopers probed a crash about 2:05 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, along SR61 at the intersection with SR443 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Bridget A. Mabry, 53, of Pottsville, was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla northbound in the left lane while Bryan J. Witmier, 30, of Strausstown, Berks County, was stopped for a red traffic light in the left lane at the intersection, driving a 2005 Ford F250 truck.Mabry failed to see the stopped truck ahead of her and the front of her Corolla struck the rear of the Ford. No one was injured. Troopers cited Mabry for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.Another rear-end type crash was reported on Saturday, at 5 p.m., along SR61, in Port Clinton, and involved three vehicles.Troopers said Ryan M. Fehr, 23, of Schuylkill Haven, driving a 2008 Subaru Legacy; Kasondra L. Specht, 23, of Hamburg, driving a 1993 Lexus GS300; and Leonard S. Savitsky Jr., 41, of Zion Grove, driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado truck, were all southbound in a construction zone.Troopers said Savitsky slowed for a vehicle turning right which caused Specht to slow down. Fehr failed to see the vehicles slowing in front of him with the front of his Legacy hitting the rear of the Silverado, pushing that into the rear of the Lexus.Specht sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. No one else was injured.Troopers said the Legacy was towed from the scene but the other two vehicles were driven by their operators.Troopers cited Fehr for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
