About three dozen trucks took part in the first annual Truck Show held at Heisler's Dairy Bar in Walker Township in memory of Logan Farr and to raise awareness and financial support for Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital's Four Diamonds organization.

Farr, age 21, died Oct. 30 of last year, after a three year battle with Ewing's sarcoma, a type of cancerous tumor, that originated in his spine.Farr graduated from Blue Mountain High School in 2009 and was a member of the football team. Father David Farr, Orwigsburg, said Logan's family wanted to give back to the Four Diamonds organization. He said fund helped provide financial support for their son during several hospitals for various surgeries and treatments.Sandy, Logan's mother, said he Logan owned multiple trucks and would always attend car shows. Family members said that Logan had just bought a Ford F-350 truck only a few months before he died.All types of trucks were welcome during the event, not just diesel. Family members hope to continue the shows every year at Heisler's.According to their website, the Four Diamonds Fund has served more than 2,000 families, primarily from the central Pennsylvania area, but also from surrounding states, since 1972.Approximately 100 new families a year become Four Diamonds families, with commitments to these children extending into their adulthood.
