Biddle big winner in 'Fish for Millions'
Two Pennsylvania anglers are among the top winners in this year's "Fish for Millions" contest cosponsored by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and Cabela's in Hamburg.
They will receive their awards Thursday, Aug. 15, as the Hamburg store as part of the kickoff to Cabela's Fall Great Outdoors Days, which continue through Sunday, Aug. 18.Ray Biddle, Jr., Jefferson Hills, is the overall winner and will be presented with a Ranger 520Z Bass Series Comanche boat with trailer valued at $60,000. Wayne Ziegler, Butler, will receive a $5,000 Cabela's shopping spree for landing a tagged crappie in Lake Arthur.Events taking place during Great Outdoor Days include a hunting seminar by former professional wrestler Shawn Michaels and his co-host Keith Mark from the MacMillan River Adventures TV Show on the Outdoor Channel.Waterfowl Classic seminars are "Waterfowl Choke and Shot Selections," "Gearing Up for Waterfowl Hunting," "Basic to Advanced Goose Calling," "Hunting the "X" for Geese," and "Early Season Geese Calling Tactics."Dog training seminars will be held Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. by Mark Wolkskill and Karen Shannon from Pheasant Valley Farms Hunting Preserve. In addition, the Keystone Regional Duck and Goose Calling Championship is Saturday.For the third straight year the Keystone Dock Dogs Championships will be held with a total of more than $2,500 in cash and prizes being awarded.
