August 5, 1982 Northern Lehigh products Paul Chiaradia and Todd Fisher help Lehigh Township gain a huge comeback win over Northampton in the Region 2 American Legion playoffs. Chiaradia scores the tying run at 9-9 (after Northampton had gained a 9-0 advantage) and later delivers an RBI double to knot the contest at 12-12. Fisher comes through with the game-winning hit when his ninth-inning triple down the rightfield line scores two runs. Chiaradia, hit around early, allows just two runs over the final five innings to gain the pitching win.
