Monroe break-ins

State police at Lehighton reported investigating two burglaries at two Monroe County locations.

The home of Lindsay E. Rake, 28, of 155 Weir Mountain Road, Kunkletown, Eldred Township, was entered via a rear deck door. Once inside the home the criminals ransacked the house in search of valuables. Taken was a PlayStation 3 and games. Troopers suspect young people were involved because of what was taken. The incident occurred sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Monday, July 29, while the victim was at work.The second entry occurred at the residence of Jillian Metzger, of 5587 Rolling Hills Road, Saylorsburg, Ross Township. Entry was gained by forcing a front bay window open. Once inside the criminals ransacked the home for valuables. A black Colt revolver with brown handle, and a few dollars in change was taken, troopers said. The entry occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday while the victim was at work.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
