August 1, 1972 Dan Weiksner connects for a home run while Gary Nothstein does the job on the mound in leading Coaldale to a 2-1 upset win over Nesquehoning in a Panther Valley Little League tournament game. Weiksner finishes the contest with two of his team's three hits. His homer comes in the fourth inning and wipes out a 1-0 deficit. Nothstein relieves Tim Schilling and allows just one hit and no runs in four innings of work. Nothstein also strikes out 10 batters.
