Gilberton Chief of Police Mark Kessler was suspended last night for 30 days without pay as a result of videos he filmed and posted on YouTube of him firing automatic weapons and spewing profanities. More than 100 people showed up at the Gilberton Borough Hall (Schuylkill County) for the meeting of the council, including news media from as far away as Philadelphia. The suspension was by a 5-1 vote of the borough council.
