One person was injured in a head-on crash at 6:39 p.m. July 16 on Panther Valley Road in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Jodi L. Spotts, 43, of Pottsville, was hurt and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, for treatment of injuries.Police said the accident occurred as a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Barbara J. Griffiths, 53, of Pottsville, was eastbound. Police said she took her eyes off the roadway to look into her rear view mirror, at which time the vehicle was in the opposite lane of travel where it struck head-on a 2008 Infiniti operated by Spotts.Police said Griffiths did not report any injuries at the scene and refused medical treatment.She will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
