A crash involving a tractor with trailer in a construction zone along a Schuylkill County road was probed by state police at Schuylkill Haven on Tuesday, July 30. The crash occurred about 9:45 a.m. along SR61, a tenth of a mile south of Coal Mountain Road in West Brunswick Township.

Troopers said Jose Leal, 59, of Elizabeth, N.J., was operating a 2000 Volvo conventional truck tractor with trailer southbound through a one lane construction zone. The rig traveled to the right where the right front of the truck impacted the attenuator along the west side. After impact the truck also struck the concrete divider along the west side. It then traveled about 50 feet along the divider before coming to rest in the southbound lane.The rig was disabled forcing the closing of the road for about one and a half hours until it was towed from the area.Leal was not injured.
