State police at Frackville are investigating a theft from vehicle incident that was reported on Friday, July 26, about 8 a.m.

Clarence Alan Traugh, 56, of Ashland, reported his 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt was entered and damaged while parked on a lot outside the Kmart store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.Troopers said the criminals used a landscape brick to smash the passenger side window. The criminals then entered the vehicle and removed a Samsung cellular phone.
