A Lehigh County man was killed in a three vehicle crash that occurred about 10:46 a.m. on Friday, July 26, along SR100 south at Industrial Blvd., in Upper Macungie Township.

Township police identified the victim as Steven Winkler, 23, of Macungie.Police said Winkler was northbound in a Subaru sedan when he crossed the center line striking a International tractor with trailer driven by George Betz, 70, of Coopersburg, and then hit a Freightliner tractor with trailer operated by John Taylor, 60, of Rome, N.Y. The two trucks were stopped for a red traffic light, police said.Winkler was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was pronounced dead.The Lehigh County coroner's office said Winkler died of blunt force injuries to his head.
