No one is hurt in mishap on I-78

No one was injured in a two-vehicle mishap that happened at 5:35 p.m. July 23 on Interstate 78 in South Whitehall Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said the collision occurred as two vehicles were traveling eastbound in the area of Hamilton Boulevard. Police said an unidentified vehicle that was traveling in the left lane of traffic veered to the center lane and impacted the driver's side portion of a 2009 Kia Rio driven by Kayla A. Haefele, 21, of Palmerton. After the initial impact, the unknown vehicle continued traveling east on the interstate while the Kia pulled over onto the Cedar Crest Exit ramp.Neither Haefele nor her passenger, Megan M. Russman, 22, of Slatington, were hurt.
