Christopher Lamont, 39, of Tobyhanna, was arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional police on charges of simple assault, unlawful restraint, resisting arrest and harassment as a result of a domestic incident that happened at 3:19 a.m. July 25 in A Pocono Country Place, Tobyhanna.

Police said they responded to a report of a female crying and telling someone to "stop" numerous times, and learned Lamont was assaulting the woman, during which time he pulled her hair and choked her. When police yelled in a window, the man ran out of the home, wearing only a shirt and underwear, and fled into a wooded area. He was later apprehended and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of minor injuries, after which time he was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.
