St. John LutheranTonight at 7 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship. This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief, musical, evening prayer. For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper is served at 6 p.m., followed by a brief adult Bible study at 6:30. White St., Summit Hill are as follows:On July 28, Katherine Steinly, a representative of Seaman's Church Institute, will present a program at St. Paul's and Zion's. SCI serves sailors that come into various ports in the U.S. with ministry needs and human services needs. There will be a light luncheon following the worship service to discuss supporting SCI and their Christmas package ministry. All are invited.Vacation Bible school will take place from Sunday, Aug. 11 through Thursday, Aug. 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. Area children from kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend.
