Carbon County businesses cited

Two Carbon County businesses have been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Lansford AMVETS Home Association Inc., 201-203 W. Ridge St., Lansford, was cited for selling alcoholic beverages to non-members on Jan. 16; and on March 22, offered and/or gave liquor and/or malt or brewed beverages as a prize.Nick's Lake House, Ltd., 110 S. Lake Drive, Lake Harmony, Kidder Township, was cited for failure to adhere to the conditions of the agreement entered into with the board placing additional restrictions upon the subject license. The incident occurred June 5.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
