July 23, 1964 Tony Petrucci and Danny McGinley both collect three hits to help Jim Thorpe roll to a 15-3 win over Weatherly in the Distrcit 18 Little League tournament. Petrucci connects for a three-run homer and also adds a double. McGinley scores three runs in the contest. The winners, managed by Billy Klotz and Walter Schlenner, also receive two hits from Ronnie McFarland and Franny O'Donnell. McFarland gains the mound victory, striking out seven in his six innings of work.
