Crash probed on I-81 in Schuylkill

A Wyoming County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash about 7 p.m. on Friday, July 19, along Interstate 81 in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Rudolph I. Biscontini, 29, of Falls, was driving a 2007 Mazda 3 southbound when the vehicle left the road on the east side. It traveled about 81 feet along the berm then back onto the roadway.The vehicle then traveled 105 feet, where it left the road on the west side, then traveled 10 feet before striking the guide rail. After hitting the guide rail, the car began to roll an undetermined amount of times for about 87 feet before coming to rest facing northwest on its roof.Biscontini was injured and taken to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, by ambulance. He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
