Clothing drive

St. John's Lutheran Church, 319 South Ave., is in the process of collecting new, clean and slightly used clothing and shoes. The items may be dropped off at the church Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Wednesday, 6-8 p.m.The clothing will be given away beginning Thursday, Aug. 2 and ends Saturday, Aug. 17. The times are as follows: Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Fridays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.If you have questions, you may call the church office, at (570) 325-4255 and leave a message or visit the church website at

They are asking residents of the various blocks in the community to join together with the cost.
