Two charged with theft in Schuylkill

Two men were arrested and charged with theft at a Schuylkill County business.

State police at Frackville identified the suspects as Thomas T. Reabold Sr., 45, of Shenandoah, and Thomas G. Reabold, 66, of Lehighton. The two have been charged with theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.Troopers said the arrests were the result of a ongoing investigation into metal being stolen from the Bear Ridge Shops, located along Eleanor Ave., in West Mahanoy Township.Troopers said surveillance cameras were installed at the site and images were caught on camera early last week. Employees of the JMB securtity had conducted surveillance details.Durng the early morning hours of Saturday, July 13, about 2:30 a.m., the two suspects were allegedly observed accessing the property. Troopers were notified and arrived at the scene and apprehended the two suspects. The total value fo the stolen property was estimated at $2,500.The two suspects were arraigned by on-call District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, with bail set at $25,000 each. Troopers did not indicate if the two were able to post bail.
