Crash probed in New Ringgold

State police at Frackville reported investigating a one vehicle crash in the borough of New Ringgold, that occurred about 6:13 a.m. on July 11.

Troopers said Braemar Omir Parrish, 27, of Coaldale, was driving a 2002 GMC Yukon southbound on E. Railroad Avenue and traveled off onto the east berm where the vehicle struck a utility pole.After impact the GMC continued back across both lanes of travel and struck the guard rail on the west berm. The GMC came to rest against the guard rail.Parrish was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for evaluation, troopers said. Assisting troopers at the scene were volunteers from the New Ringgold and Orwigsburg fire companies, and ambulances from New Ringgold and Pottsville.Troopers said Parrish will be cited.
