Compliance checks conducted

On Fridday, July 12, between 6 and 10 p.m. officers of the Wilkes-Barre Enforcement office of the state liquor control board conducted age compliance checks in Carbon County.

A total of five checks were conducted at establishments licensed to sell alcohol, one of which was found to be non-compliant.Non-compliance means the establishment sold alcoholic beverages to underage individuals trained and supervised by the state police bureau of liquor control.The establishments that were found to be in compliance, meaning they did not sell liquor to the underage buyers were Keogh's Inc., Lansford, The Batters Box Sports Bar & Grill, and William H. Chapman, trading as Parkview Inn, both in Summit Hill.
