Tamaqua police have issued a warrant for the arrest of James Joseph Englert, 36, of 1011 Lehigh St., Newkirk, following an assault that reportedly happened on June 29.

Englert allegedly went to the home of his ex-girlfriend, Patti Sue Coleman, and started an argument. According to the report he was in an intoxicated condition.The argument escalated to the point where he pushed her to the ground then began punching her in the face. Coleman went to St. Luke's Miners Hospital, Coaldale, for X-rays for a possible fractured jaw.Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Englert is asked to call police at (570) 668-5000.
