Tamaqua Blue one win from 10-11 title

Tamaqua Blue moved within one win of the District 18 10-11 Little League championship by defeating Valley East in the winner's bracket final.

Owen Schoch and Brock Bollinger each added two hits to the Towamnesing cause.The loss eliminated Towamensing from the tournament.SCHUYLKILL-BERKS LEGIONTamaqua-Valley ViewTamaqua was eliminated from the Schuylkill-Berks Legion playoffs after dropping an 8-4 decision to Valley View.The Blue Sox briefly held a 2-1 advantage after Matt Roberts delivered a two-run double in the second inning, but Valley View used a six-run third frame to take the lead for good.Roberts finished with three hits, two of them doubles, while Peter Baddick chipped in with two hits and an RBI.For Valley View, Dalton Miller earned the pitching win and also added two hits at the plate. One of those hits was an RBI triple. Nick Novak got the win with five shutout innings while Justin Albert got the save.The title was Bushkill's third in the past four years.Panther Valley was the No. 5 seed in the playoffs.
