Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship. This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief, musical, evening prayer. For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper is served at 6 p.m., followed by a brief adult Bible study at 6:30. For more information call the Rev. Each day residents from one town in the PV area will pay a reduced admission fee of $3 for adults and $1 for children.The Community Days schedule is as follows:• July 15 Lansford• July 16 Summit Hill• July 17 Coaldale• July 18 NesquehoningSwim lessons will once again be offered at the pool this year. Morning sessions will begin July 22 and run through July 26 from 10:15-11 a.m. Evening sessions start July 29 and run through Aug. 2 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.There are four levels of instruction available.Level one is for the most basic and beginner swimmers and works on comfort in the water, with the ultimate goal of independent doggie paddle.Level two is an introduction to basic stroke work and water safety. Swimmers in this group must be able to doggie paddle independently.Level three is an intermediate level that refines basic strokes and water safety.Level four is an advanced level that focuses on refining all strokes, water safety and some conditioning.There is a charge for lessons. A Chinese auction will be held and bingo will be played. The deadline to sign up is July 22.
