A one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County was the result of a deer entering a roadway.

State police Schuylkill Haven said Judith A. Johnson, 61, of Pottsville, was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer westbound on SR209 in Port Carbon about 7:08 a.m. on Monday, July 8, when a deer crossed the road. The deer ran into the driver's side of the car, breaking the window.Johnson sustained injuries from the breaking glass and was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel, troopers said.
