Residents of parts of Lehighton borough endured a 41 minute power outage on Sunday night due to a powerful lightning strike at Route 443 and East Penn Road, said a Lehighton Borough electrical crew member.

Power was out from 6:26 p.m. to 7:09 p.m.The area was hit by a fast moving storm which brought lightning and heavy rain.
